This will be the beginning of many posts.  I plan to begin these postings and Carol will add a few more as the opportunity strikes.  You can think of Carol as the traveled dusted Professor in “Back to the Future”.

I met Carol about 6-7 years ago, this may be corrected later.  It was the beginning of a friendship that later turned into a partnership.  You see, I see things in black in white, almost like yes and no. Mainly because I do the medicine thing.

Carol brings to the partnership creative ideas that you see in many places on this web site.  We both bring special talents.

Carol is a Dive Master in scuba diving. For those of you that don’t know about this, here is more information.

Divemasters typically work in idyllic tropical locations – clear waters, palm trees, tropical breezes, vibrant sunrises and sunsets, lively coral reefs, and abundant marine life. Dive shops hire people for divemaster jobs all over the world and its easy to find a job if you have the right certification from an internationally respected diving organization like PADI or SSI.

After I had known Carol for about 1 year, she started telling me about her trips to PNG in New Guinea.

She described the liveaboards boats that would take them on their dive excursions.

One of her favorite boats was the “Golden Dawn”, and Craig her friend was the boat captain. Carol would go on these trips with her unique circle of friends headed up by Roger from Hawaii and KC who now lives in Alaska.

Carol will have to remind me of some of the stories about her trips to PNG but for now I think this one picture speaks louder than any more words I could say.

The Bermuda adventure last year will yield several good stories for years to come.  This was one of the best trips ever I experienced with Carol and I was able to see her at work in real time. Yes, she is as gracious as they come. I was treated like royalty.

On this trip one of Carol’s co worker’s Spike was the pursor and she made sure my trip was awesome, which it was.

Once we arrived to Bermuda one of our first adventures was visiting the “Swizzle Inn”.

This was a great place to obtain business cards from people all over the planet.

I had a field day.

We had a great time at the “Swizzle Inn”, but little did I know that we would visit the Cave, called “The Grotto”, which used to be a disco meeting place.  Inside the grotto was a huge lake which we all decided to take a swim.

The thermoclines were amazing.  So what are Thermoclines?

thermocline (thûrm-kln)

A distinct layer in a large body of water, such as an ocean or lake, in which temperature changes more rapidly with depth than it does in the layers above or below. Thermoclines may be a permanent feature of the body of water in which they occur, or they may form temporarily in response to phenomena such as the solar heating of surface water during the day. Factors that affect the depth and thickness of a thermocline include seasonal weather variations, latitude and longitude, and local environmental conditions.
Yes, this was definately a cool adventure with Carol, “Fly Girl”.

bermuda-trip-22     Another trip that has stuck in my mind was our Chicago trip last year.  It was beautiful time of the year to be visiting Chicago. The tulips were in full bloom.   chicago-trip-18 I forget what these people are called, but I will insert later. Notice the beautiful tulips. The city of Chicago is a really cool place to visit. chicago-trip-07 This is the Chicago River. Can anyone name the Great Lakes? Along the Chicago River, we were with Carol’s friend, Tom on his boat and experienced a grand fireworks presentation. On one of several trips to Chicag0, Carol introduced me to ” Carson’s Ribs”.    But Carol did not stop there. We were visiting Chicago in the Winter. So………….. We ate the ribs in: So, stay tuned to this post for more adventures from Carol, “Fly Girl”. It is Kathy, signing off for now.
